New Toy

Thanks yeye & nainai for the new toy - a tricycle received on last Saturday. Oh, can't believe my son is 20 months old now! :)

My multi-tasking busybee (Eating lunch+watching barney+cycling+dancing+singing)...

Update on Mommy and Baby J: Phew, mommy's condition has stabilized according to last Sat's review. *Keeping our fingers crossed* Rest and medication still compulsary to prevent any unwanted outcome. Gynae said she will only reduce my ventolin's dose when I reach 32weeks or baby's weight hit 1.8kg. Hoho...besides good rest, mommy also need to eat more to beef baby up, as weight estimation from scan showing that baby J's growth has slowed down, although still above 50 percentile. Not sure why (I basically just eat and rest at home everyday, bleah...), mommy only gained 300g for past 1 month. Hee...coz of that, daddy & mommy had the durian feast over the weekend, and poor daddy was down with sore throat after that...*Oops*

We're Doing Fine...

Although last Sat's review showed that my cervix is further shorten by 1-2mm, no contraction was picked up by CTG and mommy feeling much better without cramps. Have to continue with medication and bedrest to reduce the pressure on my weak cervix. Sobs....no GSS shopping for me this year...will pass my shopping list of baby stuffs (to prepare for the arrival of #2) to hubby, am sure he can do a good job!

Baby was very sweet, he greeted daddy, mommy and korkor with a flying kiss to cheer us up! Hee...and seems like I am going to have a greedy baby (which I wish for). During the scan, he performed to us on swallowing the amniotic fluid, enjoying the taste by moving his tongue in and out and lastly sticking out his tongue to lick mommy's placenta. Hoho...so cute and funny! Oh ya, my boy is growing very well despite mommy's constant weight about 55kg for past few weeks. He is about 1.17kg @ 27w (increased from 679g @ 24w3d), we are very happy with his good weight. See you again in 2 weeks time baby!

Lappy Entertainment

My bonding activities with Isaac is very restricted now, as I have to confined to bed most of the time. Besides reading story books, playing jigsaw puzzles, etc with him, I cracked my head to think of some enjoyable activities that I can involve for him. Recently, he shows strong interest in animals, insects, birds and fishes. Thus on top of animals books and puzzles he has, mommy downloaded some educational video clips about the above-mentioned themes from youtube (as I cannot go out, that is only what I can think of). As a result, he was introduced to the new lappy entertainment. Surprisingly, he loves to watch the video clips, especially "The Signing Time - Caterpillar Dreams and Walking Through the Zoo" that mommy chanced upon. Hoho...he is learning to sign the panda and butterfly now, very cute seeing him imitates the instructor! Yes, of course watching through lappy too long is not advisable, so we limited him to the 15mins show daily. See how much my darling hooked to the lappy and enjoyed the show? Oh ya, any more bonding tips for me?!

EduPlay @ JG

We took Isaac to a trial class at Julia Gabriel Centre of learning few weeks ago, as mommy received the 50% off voucher from Aunty D. It was a 2-hr bilingual lesson at their Evans Road outlet. The class size is big with 4 teachers (2 english and chinese teachers each). Isaac had fun running around, playing with toys, singing and listening to stories. However he was pretty restless during chinese story-telling session. Haha...maybe because he is not used (or cannot appreciate/follow well) to chinese teaching. Overall, we are not impressed with the program, as daddy and mommy prefer bibinogs, where the teachers are much more engaging! Not much photos taken as well since they only allow one parent in the class.

Warm up activity-Playing with toys.

Snack Time!

Art & Craft Time: Isaac happily getting his hands dirty in making the pinky piggy.

The end-product!

Outdoor play time.

Challenging Weeks Ahead...

Dear friends, thanks so much for all your concern. I am feeling better and rest at home now, was discharged on last Thu afternoon, after 4D3N in hospital. *Cried bucket*

Went for emergency check-up after having constant cramps on Monday afternoon (after half day back at work). I was admitted immediately for my short cervix and cramps. Yes, my cervix was getting shorter, indicates the possibility of pre-term labour. Spent my first night at labour ward-observation room for immediate treatment to stop the cramps/contraction. I was totally confined to bed for first 2 days. * a miserable experience* I told myself to be strong for my unborn baby, but I just couldn't control my tears whenever think of my Isaac darling. That was the very first time I "separated" with him. Thanks to hubby who brought Isaac to visit me every night at hospital to console my brohen heart.

That was the toughest and most stressful week for Family K. I finally got the green light to go home on Thu noon. *Hooray* Hoewever, I am ordered for complete bed rest and took leaves from work to prevent pre-term labour, most probably until delivery. Sigh...I am trying hard to adapt to my life in bed now. Feeling very hearpain when seeing hubby busy with housechores, taking care of Isaac and myself, despite his heavy work load (he has to continue with his work til late night after settling Isaac in bed), yet I can't help at all. Thanks so much dear, I love you, you are the world greatest hubby and daddy! Of course, I do feel guilty as a lousy mum to Isaac as well. Baby, hope you understand, mommy will definitely compensate you when mommy is well ok?

No choice, like I said, I will constantly remind myself to be positive and strong mum for both my precious. Will hang on for few weeks more, hope things will change for the better! Please pray for us...Thanks!
