IT'S A BOY! (Again)

Went for the un-scheduled check-up on 23 Mar, as I was experiencing mild cramping since a night before. Thankfully, baby was doing pretty well, and no abnormality was detected. *Phew* It looks like Isaac is going to have a little brother! Hoho..."my likely to be a gal" baby decided he wants to be a boy instead. *diaoz* To be frank, i felt a bit dissapointed with the "new discovery", as we have already started calling baby "meimei" since last visit. Oh well, the gender is secondary, the most important is the health of baby, isn't!

The "male organ" is pretty obvious right?

Baby was quite active during the scan, he touched his cheek with both hands (Dr. YC said he was trying to squeeze the dimples out, haha) and said "hi" with us by showing us his five fingers! According to Dr. YC, my cramps may due to my low placenta and stretching of uterus to accomadate my "long and muscular" baby. Hee...he is measured a week ahead (~112mm@16w3d)! Well done baby, hope you can continue to grow well, and daddy and mommy can't wait to meet you!

HIDE AND SEEK

SWING SWING SWING

MARINA BARRAGE

We were deliberating for the longest time for whole afternoon of 14 Mar, to go or not to go Marina Barrage as it’s been raining for the whole day. But we have planned this trip for few weeks and keep postponing it due to “many” unexpected reasons, so I told hubby “let’s go” despite the heavy rains outside.

Fortunately, the weather was very kind to us and the rain stopped before we reached the Marina Barrage. It is a pretty scenic place, very nice for walking/running, flying kites and relaxing.

Isaac enjoyed himself very much there. He was so energetic although he skipped his afternoon nap. He was walking and running around the field on the rooftop without feeling tired. He practically refused to leave and we had no choice to drag him out of it! Haha….

"Test test water" first....

The real show started! He had fun with the water fountain and got himself all wet! *fainted* Luckily mommy bought the extra romper and diaper, hee...May need to bring along the towel next time!

MY LITTLE COLOURFUL WORLD

Sharing some info I found online:

"Children between the ages of 2 and 5 love having tables and chairs in their size. Toddlers this age are too active to enjoy being trapped in a booster seat at the adult table for long, but they love to imitate adults. Having a child-sized table and chair enables toddlers to eat at their own pace and to have a place of their own for drawing, coloring, painting and making crafts. "

We bought Isaac a colourful childrens table and chairs set from Ikea after chinese new year. He loves them very much and they have since become his activity station (for eating meals, drawing, reading, playing, watching TV etc)! Although he had difficulty getting up and down of the chairs on the very first day after daddy assembled the table set for him, he has overcome this problem on the next day. Now he can even stand on the chairs freely! *diaoz* My heart is getting weak with a active toddler at home...hee...

EXPAND

Happy family Kok is expanding and so as my belly! Since this is a totally unplanned pregnancy (we did take precaution ok?), we were quite lost at first. It took us few days to reel from the shock! Anyway, it is a great new year gift from above, as we tested positive on 7th Jan 2010. Although we were not prepared for such a fast arrival of #2, it is a blessing isn't? We are glad that we do not need to try for long for 2nd junior Kok. We will definately welcome this new addition with open arms despite we are still shivering over those sleepless night, zombie process and caregiver issues, yieeee....We are praying for a healthy baby & smooth delivery!

First gynae visit on 16 Jan showed that baby is growing well at the right place, with healthy yolk. Bb was very tiny, only 11.1mm at 7weeeks old, but his/her little heart was pumping strongly. My EDD will be on 4th Sep 2010.

We met baby again before CNY on 6 Feb 2010. BB's size increased triple to 33.2mm (10w) and already taken shape. Bb was dancing to us with the little arms and legs, so cute! Dr. YC commented that bb was trying to show off to korkor as bb knew that korkor was looking at him/her! A special way to say hello to korkor?! Haha....

Baby was very shy during our 3rd gynae visit on 25 Feb. He/she was hiding at the corner of my womb and refuse to move and let us see his/her face, despite all my gynae's efforts in disturbing him/her. Or maybe korkor was not there?! Hee...We are glad that bb is growing well (72.2mm at 12w5d), most probably because mommy ate a lot during CNY period, but only put on 300g from last visit. Yeah! Hoho...Dr. YC also tried her best to find out the gender for us although it maybe too early to tell and baby not cooperative on that day. Before she ended the u/s scan, she revealed to us that we likely will have a X this time! Oh well, will confirm again on our next visit!

HAPPY TIGER YEAR, HUAT AH!

Aiyo, this is a super duper late post, which I suppose to post it during CNY period. *Blushing* As usual, I was tied up with my work - the marking marathon after the final examination! Ahh! Finally it is over....But there are more other assignments to come, sigh...endless works!

This is the 2nd year Isaac celebrated chinese new year with us, we are thankful for every day we have him in our lives. His smiles and laughters never fails to brighten up our days, he is simply our sunshine! Hee...we will have one more member joining us next year, will blog more about this in my next post.

We drove back to JB for reunion dinner on CNY's eve early in the morning (around 630am). As expected, it was a very "long" journey, took us >3hrs to reach home, thanks to the massive jam at 2nd link. Fortunately Isaac was very cooperative and well-behaved throughout the whole journey.

Overall, my dearest prince enjoyed his 2nd CNY very much with travelling ( we drove back to my "niang jia" - ~2hrs journey from JB on 2nd day of CNY), relatives visiting, CNY cookies, playing with mandarin oranges, meeting cousins, and of course collecting ang paos, etc. Daddy and mommy are so proud of you darling!

Isaac's newly discovered toy during CNY - mandarin oranges, he loves playing and biting them!

See his ugly expression when we "dragged" him away from the plant?! Haha....

Oh ya, he gave us a wonderful CNY's gift! My little boy finally started walking unassisted on 4th day of CNY. Hooray!!! So now daddy & mommy need to keep closer watch on him, to prevent him from getting buah duku on his head, wahahaha.....

The video was taken on 2nd day after he started walking, but he is walking more and more steady now!

The cheeky boy wishing all a healthy, happy, prosperous and peaceful Tiger Year!
