HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

Happy Family Kok celebrated their first Lunar New Year in Singapore, as we do not want Isaac to travel at such a young age. Baby Isaac was well-behaved during CNY’s eve and first two days of CNY. He self-entertained and let daddy and mommy had a peaceful reunion dinner. Surprisingly, Isaac also slept through the noise during visitation. He just heck care and continued his Zzzzz during lion dance and being passed around by relatives! Wahahaha….

DEVELOPMENT

Time flies, baby Isaac is 12 week-old today and will be 3 month-old by next Friday!

He is now about 5.4kg, a small baby still as compared to his peers. This is because he is a small drinker, taking 100-120ml of milk every 2-3hrs. Although my breastmilk supply able to meet his daily needs, we still supplement him with Formula once a day. This is to make sure he can adapt to Formula well if I have to stop breastfeeding in the future, just in case. Anyway, as long as he is growing well and healthy, weight is not that important. Oh, he finally started sleeping through the night, from 10-11pm to 5-6am, at least for past 3 days. Hope this can persist, keeping our fingers, toes and hairs crossed.

For the past four weeks, my little Isaac is quite responsive and making lots of headway in his social-emotional development. Followings are some that I can think of:
  1. Call for attention with a low-pitched but “sounds very poor thing” cry when he feel bored or wake up from his naps.

  2. Give you a “sainai” cry when he wants to be cuddled.

  3. When we touch or talk to him, he will grimace, wave his limbs and stare at us with wide-eyed. And very often, he will make sounds and “talk” back, by smiling, cooing and gurgling.

  4. He likes to charm us with his smiles, especially when he first sees us after waking up from his naps/sleep.

  5. Soothe himself by sucking on his hands, especially when he feels hungry or sleepy. If he is hungry, it will normally ended with wailing when he realized there is no milk coming out after sometime of sucking, wahaha…But if he is sleepy, he will normally fall asleep after that.

  6. And He has this bad habit, likes to stick out his tongue! Faint!

At last and as usual, is photos time!

His very first time sleeping with a bolster.
